Bio

I have a love for everything mosaic, and my work often follows a Judeo-Christian theme. My influences derive from both the ancient and contemporary mosaic world. I enjoy the creative process of designing, choosing the materials and cutting the tesserae in an often lengthy process that requires much patience! I always try to experiment with various methods, learning new techniques and seeking to improve my knowledge and skills with every project.

    My Story

I originally trained in Audio Visual Design at Brunel Technical College, Bristol. It was here that I developed a love for photography, and spent hours in the wet dark room developing my black & white printing skills. This led to further Photographic studies at Berkshire College of Art & Design, Reading. Developing a passion for the moving image I moved to Newport to study Film and completed my degree in 1998. I discovered my love for mosaics when taking some time out from my pastoral support role in 2017. I found the whole creative process deeply cathartic, enabling me to escape into a world free from the stresses and strains of every day life.
