Urban Symbiosis

This is a project in conjunction with the brief from the British Association of Modern Mosaics. The exhibition, entitled 'Urban Symbiosis', will feature various mosaic artists. My concept focuses upon the idea of uprising (Newport has a famous history as seen in the chartist movement). Materials used include marble, stained glass, regalia glass, gold leaf, ceramic and steampunk metal. It is grouted charcoal and mounted on 18mm MDF.
